Dekat is the new uprising R&B Electronic Indie Band. The three members, Tata Hadiwijoyo, Chevrina Anayang, and Mohammed Kamga, admitted their closeness to each other and to their own freedom in producing music rather than being in their previous band Tangga, hence the new name ‘Dekat’ which literally means ‘close’. Their music is a very powerful, promising a new kind of vibe to the whole industry. Aside from the new approach, their lyrics are also strong and passionate in its own regard, with Marcellino Nugraha as the producer, the composition is better then ever.

Their latest single mini-album ‘Meranggas’ was just released quite recently and surely brings its new color to the ears of music enthusiasts. ‘Lebih Dariku’ and ‘Penjahat’ portrays Kamga and Chevrina strong vocals in their casual pop vibes while ‘Berkhayal’ indulge listeners with intense electronic R&B and sensual characteristical vibe.

Overall, Dekat is certainly astounding the entire Indonesian culture with their hip and powerful lyrics, provoking big time music label to consider the soul of a music rather than the money it reproduce.
