Located in Badung, Bali this monumental, tree house-inspired house is owned by the Sharma family which explains the name of this agrestic mansion. Built in by architecture firm, IBUKU in 2012 and standing tall on 750 square meters of land, this six-storey estate is almost entirely made from bamboo.

The house also adopts the traditional permaculture design principles as the house is located in the middle of the grounds with gardens and lake that are surrounding the building. As soon as you arrive, the breathtaking bamboo tunnel will greet you as it is the entry way to the fourth level of the house which brings you to the main area of open areas of living, kitchen, and dining spaces. Inside, the mesmerizing circular staircase will steals your attention and it will lead you to other parts of the house which include a playroom, four bedrooms, and a library on the levels below.

Thereupon, when you go upstairs, the patio on the sixth floor is the proper place to spend the afternoon, relishing on the famous Bali sunset with the extraordinary views of Ayung River and Green Village as the backgrounds. Other than the intricate exterior of bamboo grain details, every furniture is custom-made by the members of IBUKU’s Key Team.
