LINE Creativate is back as the biggest creative event in South East Asia and the biggest creative digital competition in Indonesia. It has become a platform for 2 million local creators to mold and develop their potential and competence in the global market. The event is supported by BEKRAF (Badan Ekonomi Kreatif).

The theme this year is ‘Indonesia Unjuk Kreatif’. Ongki Kurniawan, Managing Director LINE Indonesia, stated that LINE believes everyone is capable of being a creator in their own way. Ricky Pesik, Vice Chairman of BEKRAF, gives total support for the event as he stated that they want to keep digging potential in Indonesia’s digital creative industry with LINE Creativate.

There are four ongoing competitions: the #UnjukKreasiLokalmu, LINE Sticker, LINE WEBTOON, and LINE Chatbot competition. In #UnjukKreasiLokalmu, participants share their unique stories themed ‘INDONESIA BANGET’ about any topic ranging from culinary to dancing through photos or videos on their Instagram accounts with that hashtag. Participants in LINE Sticker create distinctively Indonesian stickers themed ‘MUATAN LOKAL’. LINE WEBTOON participants draw a short webtoon themed ‘HARI BERARTI’ about significant events happening in their lives on that day. Lastly, LINE Chatbot participants develop chatbots themed ‘Indonesia Banget’ and the winners from this competition are expected to solve national issues along with promoting local cultures in Indonesia.

LINE and BEKRAF will do a set of roadshows in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Banjarmasin and Denpasar starting August 19th. The peak of the event will be on October 27th until October 29th in the form of awarding, exhibition and seminar regarding the participants’ masterpieces.
