Heads up, The World of Ghibli will stage their first exhibition in Southeast Asia from tomorrow, August 10th, until September 17th at The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place, Jakarta, Indonesia. The massive exhibition will feature Studio Ghibli’s classic works like My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and their other unforgettable feature films. Well, most of us grew up watching their movies, so we’re pretty excited.
You will witness their history, original sketches, a replica of Hayao Miyazaki’s animation room and desk, and also installations of their well-known characters and architectures. Studio Ghibli has full trust in Indonesian local vendors to execute all of their installations in the exhibition. More information about what will be exhibited and where to buy the tickets here.
We received an insight from one of the insiders that there will be a surprise installation that has never been exhibited before. We will be there at the exhibition tomorrow to see what it is. Swing by if you’re around the area, we will see you there.
