FUSE 2017 is the second run of Binus International’s signature event. They chose ‘Modern Futuristic‘ as their theme this year to merge music, fashion, art and food and beverages into their package. The event was held in Kuningan City Ballroom, divided into an outdoor area which served as a place to mingle while enjoying the view of the downtown skyline and the indoor area where the main stage took place. Before we could get to the main stage, we had to go through the fashion and food and beverage area such as Ohayou and Mama’s Rice; as well as the art installation made by Liko Sukhoy D, Sakinah Alatas, Bonekamerah, and Alienpang.

We saw many familiar faces and everyone dressed really nice and the whole vibe of the event was pretty lit. The sound and lighting was very pleasant, it added the euphoria of the music performance by Polka Wars, Sore, The Trees and The Wild and many more. The night was closed by a solid performance by Mayer Hawthorne, which is actually rather unfortunate that he had to perform accompanied by a DJ set, not by his actual live band. FUSE 2017 was definitely an upgrade from the first FUSE back in 2016, and we certainly hope that there will be more similar events in the near future. See what went down on their Instagram.
