Indoestri Makerspace is the very first makerspace in Jakarta intended to inspire people not to only appreciate the result, but also the importance of hard-work and the process of every little thing. So far, they have conducted over 400 workshops and motivated over 4625 individuals to leave their comfort zone and help them discover their hidden capability.
This weekend, they will hold their seventh Indoestri Day – in corresponding with their third anniversary. They wish to celebrate the journey they have been on for the past years by looking back at everything they have created. Furthermore, they want to re-emphasize the #SelfMade spirit which they’ve always carried since day one.
With the theme of ‘Made in Indoestri’, the upcoming Indoestri Day will have several activities – offering a genuine experience of creating different kind of products with all of its process. There will be a live demo on Weaving by Irene Yuliana, Macramé Wall Hanging Making by Janet Jane of Fiber Motel, Silversmithing by Mada of Kal Akkara, Pattern Making and Kimono Jacket Making by Wilsen Willim and many more. Not only that, there will also be an exhibition of Indoestri’s growth in the past three years; a tour around makerspace to see what Indoestri does on daily basis; a small yet intimate market ‘Pasar Indoestri’, gathering several tenants with the #SelfMade spirit within them; One Day Workshops by Zulfiqar Yahya of Batavia Jeans Studio as well as the Made in Indoestri Talkshow, moderated by the man behind Indoestri Makerspace, Leonard Theosabrata.
Indoestri Day #7 will be held in Indoestri Makerspace, located on Rawa Buaya Jakarta Barat this Saturday and Sunday, November 25th and 26th 2017. The event will be free for all, so there is no reason for you not to come. Swing by their Instagram to keep updated.
