Wall of Fades is the annual event presented by Darahkubiru and INDIGO – Indonesian Denim Group, and said to be the biggest denim exhibition in Southeast Asia. The event aims to educate the public about every single detail and component in jeans with the history behind it. They also promote and support the local creative industry scene, especially denim and denim related brands. Wall of Fades has always gained massive increase in terms of visitors and sales every year, and it is one of the most awaited events by denim enthusiasts and people in general for their distinct informative and educational value.

This year’s event is marked as their 9th run with the theme of “In the Making of Denim”. They will delve deeper in giving information about how the denim is made, starting from spinning the yarn, dyeing, weaving until finishing. The trademark exhibition: Denim Dictionary, Jeans Anatomy, Fading Education, Jeans Styling Guide and Worn Out Jeans Exhibition will also make a come back with even broader content.

Not only limited to exhibition, Wall of Fades 2017 also provides a marketplace with heavy-curated fashion tenants, which is doubled up from the previous event, from 35 to whooping 70. Aside from the loyal, devoted brands such as Sage, Oldblue Co., Potmeetspop, AYE and Mischief, they open an opportunity for new brands to join as their form of support. To complete the experience some musicians including Ben Sihombing x Cindercella, KLAV + RL and Simeon from Interrupted will perform to wind up the festivities.
