To replace its menswear designer Kim Jones whose just leaving recently to join Dior Homme, the luxury fashion house hailing from France Louis Vuitton has just revealed Virgil Abloh to be the replacement.
For the record, the 37-year old man is an accomplished architect and civil engineer. He never got any formal education in fashion, yet he successfully penetrated the industry with his brand OFF-WHITE which gained a massive cult following, pushing him further into the spotlight. He was also the art director of Watch the Throne, a collaborative studio album by American rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West released back in 2011.
Now, he is set to move to Paris to completely embrace his new role and he has been working on a so-called brand manual to define his shape of vision for Louis Vuitton. We truly believe that he about to blur the lines between high fashion and streetwear, so we are really excited for what he will present in Paris Men’s Fashion Week this June.
