Commencing their fifth boutique in Indonesia, Dope and Dapper went big by officiating their Grand Indonesia branch as the largest outlet in Indonesia, April 16th 2018. The store boasts 136 square meter of space with rugged industrial theme. Nonetheless, it is juxtaposed by the LED signage on several spots of the store and projector to display photos and videos.
The occasion was also used to release three of Dope and Dapper’s latest sneakers collections. Two of them are collaboration collections: Puma X Big Sean and Vault by Vans X Taka Hayashi Vibrant Print Mashups.
The Big Sean collaboration is a commemoration of Puma’s 50th anniversary with the Suede 50 series by the rapper himself, while Taka Hayashi put his signature patterns on Vault by Vans’ Sk8-Hi 75 LX and Classic Slip-On 66 LX. However, the show stealer was the Dope and Dapper X Bluesville venture.
Hand in hand with Jakarta-based brand Bluesville, they created the Indigo Master Shoe Project and transformed three iconic sneaker models – Puma Suede, Adidas NMD R2, and Vans Vault Authentic OG LX by dipping ‘em in indigo dye. The results are self-explanatory, dope and dapper. The sneakers got this inexplicable ethnic charms as the result of the raw indigo shades.
Things don’t stop there as the shoes are further accentuated by the custom Indigo Batik Shoelaces which elevate the sneakers’ looks even more. Go grab ‘em exclusively at Dope and Dapper’s boutiques, while you can pre-order the Bluesville sneakers through their website.
