Directly translated as Created to Create, high street brand Inksomnia took a rather drastic approach by teaming up with designer Rama Dauhan. Unlike their previous parodical releases, the collection is described as a simple, comfortable, and loose experiment. Besides two of them, they also partnered up with illustrator and Teenage Death Star vocalist, Sir Dandy to work on the monochromatic artworks for the apparels.
Intensified with the urbanely balanced Créé Pour Creer graphics, the collection is a mixture of laid back attitude with a touch of semi-formal elegance. There are pocket tee, relaxed pants with loose belt detail, parka, and blazer, all accentuated by the signature black and white graphics.
They have released the collection by throwing a launching party on April 27th at Queenshead Kemang. Complementing the launch were performances by several musicians from different genres. There were Teddy Adhitya, Ardhito Pramono – which also modeled for the catalogue shoot, Hogi, Jnaro, Rafi Muhammad, Nuel Ante, Fang Tatis, Kyriz Boogieman, and the one and only Indonesian diva Ruth Sahanaya.
On top of that, shoutout to one of our respected and beloved neighbours, Maika Collective for setting up the visual for the collaboration.
