Initially launched in the country in 2017, Indonesia fashion scene welcomes French ready-to-wear eyewear brand IZIPIZI with open arms. Founded in 2010 by Quentin Couturier, Xavier Aguera, and Charles Brun, IZIPIZI fuses classic designs with popping colors on their personalized glasses. These are ranging from reading glasses, screen-protective glasses, and seemingly their most notable items, sunglasses.
In an effort to uphold IZIPIZI’s relationship with the Indonesian market, official distributor of IZIPIZI Indonesia Alphabet Company organized an introductory three-day trip of the Summer/Spring 2018 collection, #IZIGETAWAY. Taking place in the Island of Gods, Bali, several influencers alongside selected media partners were pampered by much itineraries IZIPIZI’s style.
All participants were placed in Alila Seminyak, since IZIPIZI partnered up with them as the hotel partner. Alila had so much to offer. A five-star beachfront hotel and resort with impressive surrounding and outstanding hospitality. Entering the room, we were presented with a tailored itinerary and the highlight of the trip, red #E IZIPIZI’s sunglasses, which was useful to tackle the scintillating Bali sun.
We also got the chance to taste many delicacies at Seasalt restaurant. While we were indulged by the fusion of Japanese and Western seafood-based cuisines there, we had the chance to chat with the influencers. There were Jena Hara, Melayu Nicole, Marsha Aruan, Sonia Eryka, Adrian Khalif, and Ykha Amelz.
The agenda continued on the next day when there were two types of activities given. For the adventurous folks, they went cycling to enjoy the infamous Balinese terraced paddy fields. Meanwhile, us and the cultural peeps decided to join the Inspirational Bali program. During the session, we learned the traditional daily offering ritual, the making of Canang Sari and complemented with many knowledge of the traditional belief from the instructor.
Later on, we proceeded to the main event which was IZIPIZI Sunset Soiree at the Alila Beach Bar. It was festooned with tropical adornment, decoration, and photo booth, also we finally saw the complete lineup of the S/S 2018 collection. As we mentioned earlier, IZIPIZI opted for classic shapes for their sunglasses, hence it isn’t necessarily revolutionary, but the energetic vibe is the key element to the products.
Looking through the collection, our personal favorite is the Sun Glacier series. The retro silhouette and the buttoned leather bridge accent create a distinctive look of the eyewear. Meanwhile, the rest of the party was amiable and enjoyable. The Beach Bar was a great venue of the party. It was a regular by the sea spot like many other beach bars in Bali, but Alila managed to put their hospitable and first-class charms there.
Representative from IZIPIZI and Alila greeted the guests and the party was concluded as we gazed at the Bali’s sunset. The event continued with dinner at the ultra-luxurious Alila Penthouse, which in one word was opulent. With the conclusion of the event on day two, we decided to take a stroll around the Seminyak neighbourhood and bar hopping as there are many bars and bistros around there.
Motel Mexicola still one of our favorites, along with Mrs. Sippy, La Favela, and the mandatory Potato Head. There are also notable pool clubs such as Cabina and Sun of Panama, which are included in the must-visit list of Bali bars and pool clubs. The bar hopping ended the night as it was the last night of the trip.
The #NEIGHBOURTEAM truly appreciates Alphabet Company for the effort and experiences of introducing the newest addition of the IZIPIZI product lineup. Bringing the products into their natural habitat of the endless summer of Bali was definitely an accurate strategy, because in Bali, sunglasses is essential, isn’t it?
