Promising several expectations of an out of the ordinary event, #FTheSystem managed to fulfill some of the apprehensions of the fashion fusion forward spirit. Woolloomooloo was fairly packed that night and decorated with numerous art installations from The F Thing’s brand partners.
Paradise Youth Club keeps it straightforward yet bodacious with their artwork. Accentuated by their current collection’s signature checkered print, it was the centerpiece of the space that night. Public Culture went big by making their Lucid Dream collection came true. Utilizing pink and blue neon to instate the lucidity, they went full eden by using artificial pond and tree to display products of the collection.
Then, there was Dirrty with their Kanye-Trump video display which added the satirical sense of the night, LADNESS refurbished their soles and turned them into a couple of artworks, and obviously our very own. Made by yours truly, the #NEIGHBOURTEAM, we compiled every F imaginable of the event and interpreted in on an eloquent mockup of our article template.
Other brand partner Legiteamate contributed by providing the guests, not only with their latest collection showcase but an unexpectedly tasty butter popcorn. In the entertainment sector, Konsumma gave out the appropriate chill-and-groovy beats from some of the personnel. Moreover, Boy William and Kamasean Matthews put a surprise visit to perform the F Thing anthem.
Our verdicts-there were a lot of F at #FTheSystem, yet some aspects were just off–particularly the DNA itself, fashion fusion forward. But the overall event was superb, it got the expected festivities along the night. Expect more from The F Thing as we believe they have all the resources and influence to throw a bigger better event.
