Renowned for producing fine artwork through t-shirt, independent label ToddyCat is introducing its new “Forever 27 Club” collection for fall 2012 season. The line takes five artworks portraying some prominent musicians or artists who died at the age 27, like Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, and Jim Morrison. Furthermore, all the artworks were made from acrylic on paper by the talented local illustrator Aron Marcello. In addition, there will be two more extra t-shirts with a tagline “Young & Restless”. The ToddyCat “Forever 27 Club” collection is now available in select stockists and their online store at www.facebook.com/ToddyCat.

ToddyCat is an independent t-shirt brand which artworks are produced by young artists with outstanding skill but less noticed by public. Their brand vision is to push Indonesian fine art and young artists to break free from the “fine art” alienation, and advance through the industry by something “wearable” so that the concept of art could be found friendly. From the fashion goggle, ToddyCat offers an effortless attitude where t-shirt could satiate fashion needs, and there is no need to be too tidy just to go out. Even the visual of their lookbook had never been made to look gaudy and editorial. Because basically, a t-shirt is a basic product which could be worn by everybody without having to be bound to brand names and the obligation to be sophisticated.
