It seems that the Singaporean-based label Sift is back with another collection for autumn and winter 2012 season. Entitled “Monsoon”, the collection was inspired by the thunderstorms of the monsoon season and was born from a process of reflection on the region where they emanate from. Different aesthetics are explored with hints of Indonesian tapestry and weaving references emerging in the knits and some of the patterns. To complement and complete the look of a well-dressed man, accompanying footwear were crafted from a third generation shoe production house in downtown Jakarta, Indonesia. A palette of muted earth tones, drawn from the mood during the rainy season in Southeast Asia, is joined by a tonal spectrum of greys and blues. This new collection from Sifr will be available at KIN and TANGS Orchard, Singapore by the end of September.
