For spring and summer 2013 women’s label Cotton Ink presents a new collection under “Global Sailor”. The new collection is all about mixing heritage with modern twist. It celebrates Indonesian heritage of ikat fabric with fresh and casual stripes. Understated graphic stripes meet the traditional handwoven fabric creates a new Cotton Ink look. The jersey stripe fabric is made from high quality cotton elastane yarn-dyed fabric which gives extra comfort for the wearers.
Still carrying their brand DNA of casual and cool with a twist, “Global Sailor” ultimately is a collection of pieces that can be worn separately but still in the spirit of Indonesian tradition. They want to highlight the amazing handwoven fabric to highlight the amazing handwoven fabric to larger audience, especially they young costumer. Some special pieces are made from traditional silk woven fabric, which adding some textures to the collection, showcasing how beautiful and mesmerizing Indonesian fabric is.
