This weeks live session Sounds From The Corner is from their favorite indie rock legends called The Adams! If you did not know already, everyone loves The Adams and they have been their local heroes for quite some time. They were lucky enough to be able to be part of they are awesome performance at 3rd Music Gallery. Without further a do below are few words from The Adams themselves.
“You want us to play at Music Gallery? Again?
“That’s right, The Adams had already been invited to play at the 2nd Music Gallery in 2012. So when the kids at University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Economics called again, we couldn’t help but think we either were that awesome the last time or they couldn’t get the bands they really wanted so they called us instead. We hope it was the first reason.
We had a feeling this would be a special show, so we asked our friends at Sounds From the Corner to capture it all. We felt that their raw, intimate style would be able to capture the energy of our performance. We also noticed there’s a distinct lack of online footage that does justice to a live show by The Adams, and we wanted to rectify that shortcoming.
There will be unintentional mistakes here and there, both human and technical. It’s not perfect, because we’d rather have fun than perfection in our shows, and you can definitely see that in this video. It’s almost as good as being there. Almost.
Thanks to Raja Irfan, Ghea Lestarina, Ivy Callista, Nabila Prabowo and all at 3rd Music Gallery for inviting us to play again. To Teguh Wicaksono, Dimas Wisnuwardono and the Sounds From the Corner team for documenting every moment and to everyone who’s ever loved our music and come to our shows. It’s a privilege for us to have so many people enjoy what we do, even after all these years.
We hope to see you again soon, maybe even at the next Music Gallery! But if we don’t see you soon, you can always see this video.”
