Born in the gritty corners of Jakarta concrete jungle, DOMINATE is surrounded by its subculture that shapes their identity. Its a lifestyle that gives us a perspective on how to view the world with their ways of life. The things that manifests their DIY ethos to a platform for expressing their thoughts, a message made from us to the environment that revolves in their lifes, giving a deliberate statement about themselves, sharing their values and shaping perception to the mass.

Their main concept for Fall and Winter 2013 collection “Charlie Don’t Surf” is based on a famous line from the film Apocalypse Now, spoken by Colonel Kilgore during an attack on mekong delta river. DOMINATE heavily influenced by this classic scene and their trying capture the essence of beauty, fear, and savage life in mekong delta river during Viet war. The collection features several items, all of the pieces are made of the finest heavy blend preshrunk cotton, all of the t-shirt in this collection are all hand silkscreened at their atelier in Jakarta.
