What kind of food would you like to have during the rainy season as it is today? For us, we were really hoping for a traditional or local food that is affordable yet tasty. Lucky for us, there is a new restaurant just around the corner from where we usually hangout and it is called Mandaga Canteen. Located in Grand Wijaya, South Jakarta, the place provides a variety of Indonesian food, most of us probably might have often encountered it anywhere, but what makes it special is the secret spice that was created by the chef in Mandaga. In this place, you could find several comfort foods from across Indonesia, especially from Padang, such as Mie Kuah Mandaga, Nasi Goreng, Malon Goreng beserta Nasi, Sate Padang, Longtong Sayur, Sop Iga, as well as the traditional drinks from Padang which is highly recommended known as Teh Talua. This two-storeyed house restaurant is also dominated by the color yellow, red and black, which is the main color of the Minangkabau flag. The place is is definitely comfortable and also offer foods with affordable price. For more information feel free to visit their official site here.
