In the latest episode of Kokiku TV, the online digital culinary focus media presented a video on how to make your own Coq Au Vin. For those who are unfamiliar with the food, it is a French dish of chicken braised with wine, lardons, mushrooms, and optionally garlic. The standard recipes call for a chicken, red wine, lardons (salt pork or bacon), button mushrooms, onions, often garlic, and sometimes brandy. Recipes with vin jaune may specify morels instead of white mushrooms. The preparation is similar in many respects to beef bourguignon. As for their six minutes video, the creative team behind Kokiku TV managed to invite two guest stars, first is the owner of Michelin 2-star restaurant in New York City, chef Daniel Boulud, while the second is chef Revo who previously part of MasterChef Indonesia Junior. Throughout the video, you can see Revo get a chance to learn and cook Coq Au Vin in details, along with chef Daniel Boulud at his own restaurant DB Bistro Moderne in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. For those of you who are curious about the presentation, feel free to watch the entire video above.
