Music Gallery is an annual music festival held by BSO Band FEBUI to showcase indie bands in Indonesia. For this year alone, the music festival will take place on March 14th 2015 at Skenoo Hall, Gandaria City in South Jakarta. The 5th Music Gallery holds the theme of “A Euphoric Music Festival Celebrating Music and Arts”. This theme carries a blend of well planned surprises featuring many Indonesian indie bands such as Trees and Wild, Mondo Gascaro, NAIF, SORE, Jirapah, Payung Teduh, Barasuara, Banda Neira, Ramayana Soul, Monkey to Millionaire, MMS, and many more. But what strongly distinguishes this year’s Music Gallery and the previous ones is the presence of France-based international act known as Tahiti 80.
Unlike an ordinary music festival, The 5th Music Gallery will showcase various forms of art that is based on the influence and the interpretation of music, such as paintings, dances, and etc. All of these elements will be combined to form a certain ambience that can and will fascinate the audience. The euphoria of The 5th Music Gallery will be a festival experience that will not be easily forgotten. Confirmed local acts to play on the The 5th Music Gallery’s stage include Trees and Wild, Mondo Gascaro, NAIF, SORE, Jirapah, Payung Teduh, Barasuara, and many more. Those names stand on Music Gallery’s main purpose to showcase good quality indie bands in Indonesia, The 5th Music Gallery will also feature carefully selected demo bands, which are Bageurs, Solace, Selimut Coklat, Bookstore Club, Circa Rama, and FourTwnty.
By moving its venue to Skenoo Hall, Gandaria City in South Jakarta from the original location located in Annex Building, Central Jakarta, this year’s Music Gallery is evolving one step ahead. The presence of France-based international act Tahiti 80 will also reach a new level of musical experience. These two main elements are the break-through to The 5th Music Gallery.
