The man who began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, is a key figure in the acid jazz movement, which is a mixture of jazz into hip-hop and funk and has been dubbed by many as “The Godfather of Neo Soul”. He is most well known for his signature compositions “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” and “Searchin”. The man is ageless and the music is timeless. The genre traversing sound of Roy Ayers makes him adored equally by jazz purists, hip hop heads and dance music lovers, and has seen him become one of the most sampled artists in music history. Through this special occasion the vibraphone player will be heading to the Island of the Gods for one very special event.
