And that is probably the main reason this China-based smartphone vendor is currently gaining number one spot as smartphone manufacturer and third or fourth worldwide. Last week in Jakarta, Hugo Barra the Vice President of Xiaomi Global introduced us to their new smartphone called MI Redmi 2. According to him, Indonesia is a successful market for the previous Redmi 1S. Now, the company is willing to break into the Indonesian market with this new Redmi 2.

This powerful Android based phone comes with 64-bit processor, a slimmer body, and with a more powerful camera features. In addition to a 64-bit processor, which was first introduced by the iPhone 5S, Redmi 2 also comes with Android operating system called MIUI 6. Has a internal capacity or storage of 8GB, with the option to add up to 32GB using microSD, and 1GB of RAM. Furthermore, it has a 4.7-inch wide screen, weighing only 133 grams. The most interesting are the connectivity features of this smartphone, which can accommodate two micro-SIM card with support for 4G networks. Mr. Barra also added, “The Redmi 2 is powerful because you can place two of your personal SIM cards and used as 4G networks simultaneously. There is nothing like it in the market!”
