Creative company based in Jakarta, The Company Studio recently released a series of graphic t-shirts made from bamboo which are not only organic but also anti-bacterial. This newly released is part of a collaboration project between Awikeci and them, and it is called “Be Nice Project” Buy One Give One Program. This program gives an opportunity to any human being to lend an act of kindness by giving one t-shirt to either Yayasan Kanker Payudara Indonesia or Cancer Buster Community for every t-shirt purchased priced at IDR 150.000. Because there is nothing more heartwarming than seeing people giving and smiling.
“Be Nice Project” Buy One Give One Program is also a campaign that offers a way for them to effortlessly give back to the environment communities and societies, matters that both Awikeci and The Company Studio believe are paramount in life. The graphics on the t-shirts in a way are social commentaries about not to take what is not ours such as money, idea, romantic partner, and queue line. Basically things and behaviors that make them cringe everyday. These messages hopefully can stir people’s emotions and slowly changing the way people behave for the sake of a better society with good moral and good ethics. Which is in line with the The Company Studio’s “Be Nice Project” where the goal is simply to remind ourselves to be nice and kind since it is rare quality to find these days. The long term goal is most definitely in line with Awikeci’s way of thinking as well, to give back to community and collaborate with non profit organizations and foundations.
For those of you who are willing to make an order from this “Be Nice Project” by Awikeci and The Company Studio, you have your time until April 30th 2015 as the last day to pre-order the t-shirts and the delivery will start approximately three weeks after the pre-order closing date. Each t-shirts is made from bamboo with graphics silk screened onto the t-shirt. Why bamboo? Because it grows fast and stars mate in just three to five years. They do not fight or argue with each other, they just reach up to grab the sun. A bamboo groove releases 35% more oxygen than the same size stand of trees. That is more air for us to breathe. It also keeps twice as much water into watershed that commercial trees, often eliminating the need for irrigation and sprinkler systems.
