Having mastered their craft for over than twenty-five years, Japanese menswear label Blue Blue Japan recently produced an unparalleled range of indigo-tinged apparel. Coming from a country steeped in denim making tradition, the brand put the tried and tested techniques of its manufacturers to work across a variety of designs borrowing detailing and silhouettes from the worlds of military design, workwear, and Americana to stunning effect season after season. Their latest spring and summer 2015 collection is now available at Surrender store in Singapore and sees a range of designs that bear all the quality hallmarks of a seasoned Japanese brand. Classic jersey pieces such as crew sweatshirts and short sleeved tees are enhanced with traditional Japanese iconography, whilst the shirting and outerwear endeavors from the brand utilize and recognize patchwork elements associated with “Boro” designs. For indigo aficionados, the spring and summer 2015 by Blue Blue Japan is now available in-store at Surrender Raffles Hotel Arcade.
For over 10 years, Surrender has been the purveyor of contemporary culture in Southeast Asia, and 2014 marks the tenth year of doing so. In keeping to the tradition of bringing the next and best, they continue to push forward in showcasing luxury and artisanal brands alongside highly sought after cult Japanese labels in Singapore. The retail store is also one of few retailers in South East Asia privileged to be carrying Converse First String and Nike Tier Zero – items that come out of the brands’ special products department which are sold only in the best stores around the world. Along with their celebration and a decade in fashion world, the Raffles boutique recently underwent a little revamp and refurbishment to their interior to provide customers a more gallery feel in line with their direction to set up exhibition areas to frame and showcase special pieces.
