PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing as the official partner for the Japanese company in Indonesia recently used the International Otobursa Tumplek Blek event as a place to showcase their new motor sport, such as Yamaha YZF-R25 and YZF-R15 MotoGP 2015 Series. These motorcycles were first seen at their hall in Parkir Timur Senayan, South Jakarta. According to Mohammad Masykur who is the Assistant General Manager Marketing of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, he explained that, “We prepared a total of 500 units for R25 and 3.000 units for the R15.” These new motorcycles with MotoGP series is not new to their portfolio, because previously they have released several MotoGP inspired bikes. However, the difference this time Yamaha Indonesia decided to present those motorbikes with a typical striping design similar to Monster Yamaha Tech 3 satellite team.
The selling price point of these new motorbikes are more expensive from the standard variant for almost about IDR 600.000. For Yamaha YZF-R25 MotoGP edition, it is available with retail price of IDR 53.6 million Rupiah while the Yamaha YZF-R15 with similar set could cost you IDR 30.4 million Rupiah. These kind of prices increase due to the difficulty level of color application that resembles the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP and Monster Tech 3 team. The Japanese based manufacturers also has its own reasons regarding the launch of the Yamaha YZF-R25 and YZF-R15 MotoGP edition. They are willing to release these motors because it has a more sporty appearance and simply imitate the spirit of MotoGP racing.
Mohammad Masykur further explained, “MotoGP is very popular in Indonesia, so that consumers is very related to its products, including the motors. We want to highlight the popular motor sport as to reinforce our dominance in this sport.” As we all know, two of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo began to show their impressive performance. This kind of popularity is also being shown by the two rider of Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team, Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith. So with the launch of the two MotoGP inspired, it could be considered as a perfect time to sell these motorbikes. In order to explain about the design, Mohammad Masykur added, “It is not easy to order those design into your motorbikes. We had to wait for a license agreement to use it. Previously we only use the version of MotoGP, but this time the official livery license is here. We are all happy.” For more information about PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, feel free to visit their official site here.
