Music is universal way for people to talk or shares their common interest. It could also be a medium for people to share an intimate moment, while watching their favorite musician on stage. In order to stimulate these feelings, month ago on April 26th 2015, one of the pioneer of independent record label in Indonesia known as FFWD Records created an intimate music event for one of their local artist called A Day In A Park. This event is part of their collaboration with creative group Cerahati and local store Lou Belle Shop and was held at local park named NuArt Theatre in Setra Duta, Bandung that belongs to a sculptor Nyoman Nuarta who is also known as the creator of Garuda Wisnu Kencana huge statue in Bali. The committee chose this area because of the atmosphere, yet it is comfortable, cool, and has a unique character.
A Day In A Park event is planned by FFWD Records to be used as regular-monthly gigs for their local home-band. As to introduce this concept, they brought few of their friends from The S.I.G.I.T and pop indie band Janevalla. According to few people who came, this concert truly focuses on making an interaction between artists or musicians with the audience, which gives a fresh-unique feeling and hot atmosphere. Janevalla that could be considered as new artist also appeared to quite refreshing, even though their appearance had to be delayed due to the massive rain that went down during the event. While The S.I.G.I.T threatened their hardcore fans of the Insurgent Army with several hit songs such as New Generation, Ring of Fire, Nowhere End, Only Love, All The Time, Live in New York, and Owl and Wolf. For those of you who could not come to to this event, FFWD Records were kind enough to uploaded a small glimpse of this event which shows rock band The S.I.G.I.T with their single “Owl and Wolf”. FFWD or fast forward, means “a rapidly changing situation or series of events”, for that FFWD records try to makes a changes with lot of new alternative of music. Established from year 1999 at Bandung Indonesia, FFWD Records become a pioneer of Indie Label in Indonesia. FFWD Records had bringing scene of Indie Pop to Indonesia. With their first release album, taken from British Band The Cherry Orchad This World Is Such a Groovy Place. Nowadays FFWD Records has released many albums of local Band from Bandung, and has released more than 5 albums of International artist such as The Cherry Orchad, Ivy, Edson, Club 8 and Jens Lekman. From local artist, MOCCA and The S.I.G.I.T is some sample for local artist from Bandung who can Go International. Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia often inviting MOCCA to perform in there. The S.I.G.I.T has completed the Australian tour in june 2007. Polyester Embassy, Homogenic, RNRM, Hollywood Nobody, and Teenage Deathstar do some part also on their carrier in local and International music.
