One of the brightest and successful store in Kemang, South Jakarta yet still independently owned by the creative outlet known as Penny Store Jakarta recently released the entire lookbook for their latest collection, the Holiday 2015 featuring photographs from an amazing photographer who has gain recognition from in and out of the country, Harris Syn. Part of the spring and summer 2015 collection is released on late May 2015 and offered a lot of graphic t-shirts that are inspired by the world of skateboarding or the beach life. Additionally, various exiting graphics are now part of the collection and available in certain sizes for men or women. For this first release, the store enlisted several t-shirts such as the Penny Bear in Black, the Penny Insert Coin in White and Black, the Penny Apparel Sports Goods in Black, the Do Not Do Drugs in White and Grey, the Penny Apparel Flat in Navy, and the Penny Apparel Arc Sunburst Logo in White, the Penny Arc Green and Red Logo in Navy and Black, and many more. Previously Penny Store Jakarta released a special collection called “Penny Artist Series”. The early 2015 collection is part of their collaboration project with various exiting Indonesian artists to make apparel with unique, provocative designs that usually seen on the street walls or inside a gallery. For this first release, the store enlisted the services of two highly talented Indonesian artists such as Ryan Ady Putra and Dimas Galih Oktavian or familiar by the name of Okta Samid. Over the years both artists has developed a strongly identifiable body of works. Most of their work are usually skateboarding related with a highly detailed graphic, unique coloring, and a pinch of dark humour. Both are also has exhibited work in few big cities around the globe, from Los Angeles, Portland, Jakarta to Melbourne in Australia. While Ryan’s work has already led to a prolific client list including Nike, Converse, and Stance Socks. The entire lookbook were also shot by an amazing photographer known as Harris Syn, who is well known for his distinctive angle and tone.
