The creative collective of husband and wife from Bandung, West Java known as The Babybirds is making a comeback this month with a medium collection of wearable clothes. Part of the October 2015 collection is purely inspired by their daughter, Rinjani, and her doodle arts. According to them, the artwork is created based on several scribbles, doodles, strange looking animals, weird looking princesses, absurd shapes, and funky colors. So instead of offering a good looking or appropriate artwork, The Babybirds will offer several wearable clothes with childish artwork, all of the patterns are named after mountains all over the world, that somehow is very funny and graceful to look at. Amongst those many items, there is a product that has become our favorite and it is called the Mittela Scribbley Tops. This product is made using the same cotton slub fabric as Mittela Scribbley dress of Rinjani. In case you are interested to have one, it is available for pre-order now. The Babybirds Family is a small family that consist of the husband Ing, the wife Nyanya, and the little baby, Rinjani, or you may have known her as Baby Melon. They live in Bandung. Ing, spent several years working as a graphic or new media designer in several companies in several cities before he got bored and decided to move back to Bandung and started his own company with his friends. Now, when he is not busy massaging Nyanya’s back or making playdoh with Rinjani, Ing can be found at WADEZIG! office creating cool stuff. Nyanya was a Visual Merchandiser in a company in Jakarta, before she decided to quit and move to Bandung to live with the husband. After several years enjoying her freelancing times at home, she worked full time again as a visual merchandiser. Today, she is back working at home, spending more time for The Babybirds while at the same time, chasing her passion at DFORM. While Rinjani, or famously known as Baby Melon, was born on April 13th, 2010. She has big sparkling eyes, rounded face, loves making faces, and the most important one, she has more than 600 Godparents!
