Although it was raining back days, more than 7,200 visitors didn’t care about it and still rushing into A Create 2016 at Gudang Sarinah, Jakarta. It’s proven that a great creative collaboration event is always fun to be enjoyed. A Create 2016 brought together a variety of unique creative sections under one roof, from art exhibitions, creative workshops, sharing season and showcasing various works of our local talents.
“I really appreciate A Create, because for me and my friends from local creative community, it feels like the togetherness is there. Thanks for the support from Sampoerna A Mild, this collaboration of various local creative community can be enjoyed together along with other A Create series of events, “said Narpati Awangga or Oomleo which is one of the senior creative figure in Jakarta.
A Create 2016 series of events at Jakarta begins with various workshops on April 10, 2016, dubbed as The Loka Lokart. Compiling four sub-culture; style, photography, visual art and music, this movement involves a lot of communities and local art talent like Bin Idris, Ruang Rupa, UGLY, The Popo, Trotoart, Kelas Pagi, and Datu. The artwork ranging from posters, installations and photographs were showcased along with independent music performances at A Create, Gudang Sarinah, Jakarta.
As a creative collaboration event, A Create 2016 also enliven the event with extra-great music performances. One of the most anticipated is the classic collaboration between The Upstairs and Goodnight Electric which latter hits in 2010. Barasuara, White Shoes and The Couples Company, Kelompok Penerbang Roket, Danilla Riyadi, Mondo Gascaro, The Adams, and Scaller also contributed on the celebration of A Create 2016 arts community collaboration.
