A clothing brand based in Jakarta, Argyle and Oxford was first established in 2010 from the twisted minds of its creators. The name Argyle and Oxford comes from the traditional knit pattern “argyle” and a classic english brogues “oxford”, creating a quirky feeling straight ahead. That’s how the brand wants to represents itself along with whimsical designs on each of their pieces.

Recently, Argyle and Oxford had just launched their Spring/Summer 2016 Collection: A Retrospect. It is a modern interpretation of 1900’s suprematist painting style and composition. Through this collection, Argyle and Oxford tried to bring art into a wearable and functional form. Pieces in this collection range from tops, bottoms, dresses up to outerwear that emphasized on details such as composition by painter Kazimir Malevich: solid square and circle cuts as well as color-blocking details.
