Jakarta Cypher first aired in 2017 as the very first freestyle rap content in Indonesia, hosted by Eitaro Nonaka and Langston Hues, where they invite local notable hip-hop and rap figures to do a freestyle. The first season spans fifteen episodes, with occurring guest stars including Ariel Nayaka, Laze, Roy Ricardo, Jayko and many more. For the episode finale, they did a collaboration act between the host and some of the guests throughout the season concluding the first season with a bang.
Now they are back stronger than ever in season two. Presented by JD.id, they still bring the same concept albeit refined. The first episode features new setting with Tuan Tigabelas from Westwew and Rebel Education Project as the guest star. Tuan Tigabelas churn out bars and spitting punchy lyrics which mentions the Kulon Progo dispute, even disses some past performers.
