The British renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died peacefully in his home on March 14th. He was 76 when it happened and his death was affirmed by his family. Hawking was a cosmologist, astronomer, and author of numerous books including “A Brief History of Time,” which has sold more than 10 million copies.

The former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a disease commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease when he was 21. The disease left him paralyzed and he was completely dependent on others or on technology to keep on living. It’s really a depressing news as he was one of the greatest minds of our generation. Rest in peace, Stephen Hawking.
