The annual underground music festival Hammersonic will soon return in 2018 with the theme ‘Metalveva Jayamahe’. Boasting the spirit of ‘unity in metal’ through the theme, there have been speculations about Hammersonic 2018 being the last event, especially with the title ‘Last of Us’. Worry no more because the title refers to their enduring and long-lasting event, which managed to be the last metal music festival standing, according to Art Director Zethria Oka.

Therefore, they decided to go all out this year to live up to their claim of the biggest heavy metal music festival in Southeast Asia. The main genre of metal is diversified to several streams such as heavy metal, metal core, black metal, death metal, hardcore, and punk. In terms of size, main stage is going to be larger with enhanced sound system and lighting.

Prominent names on local and international rock scenes are also scheduled to perform at the upgraded festival, which will take place on July 22nd at Carnaval Beach Ancol. These include Flames, Dead Kennedys, H20, IHSANHN, Winds of Plague, and Indonesian bands such as Koil, Saint Loco, and Revenge The Fate. Grab your tickets at hammersonic.com.
