Men’s Fashion Week 2017 by Plaza Indonesia is just right around the corner. This is their 8th event since started in 2010, and yet still manage to be the biggest fashion show event for men in Indonesia. Zamri Mamat, the General Manager of Marketing and Communications of Plaza Indonesia opened the press conference on Tuesday, 19th September in La Moda with a brief speech explaning the increasing demand for menswear and how this event will always grow bigger each year because of it.

Deciding “Sneakers Culture” as the main theme of this year’s event, Ria Juwita as the Senior Manager of Event, Promotions and Creatives of Services of Plaza Indonesia realized how the development of the sneakers culture has taken a really big part of the fashion industry nowadays.

The event will showcase a total of 22 national and international brands. We are expecting to see some big names, such as IKAT Indonesia, Feby Hanif, Tities Sapoetra, Alleira Batik, LEVI’S, LANVIN and Ben Sherman. There will also be an appearance from The Gentlemen’s Pact, which their culture of riding with style has caught Zamri Mamat and Ria Juwita’s attention.

For sneakers enthusiast, Plaza Indonesia will also give a big excitement on the last day of the event for you. Some brands were given a challenge to do some collaboration with big sneakers brands, such as Nike, Adidas, Puma and Reebok. Some of the collaborations featured are IKAT Indonesia x Nike, Austere x Adidas, Wong Hang Tailor x Nike x Rama Dauhan, AMOTSYAMSURIMUDA x Puma, ESMOD Jakarta x New Balance, Pop. U x Onitsuka Tiger, allthethingsivedone x Converse, No’om | No’mi x Badass Monkey, and Danjyo Hiyoji x Reebok.

The event will be held at Plaza Indonesia Function Hall 2nd floor on 25th until 29th September. If you happen to be in the area, don’t forget to swing by and enjoy the festivities.
