Footurama

September 9th 2012 marked the return of Footurama Swapmeet from its 5 year hiatus. In 2007, the last Footurama Swapmeet was held at Kemang and was a great place where friends and communities gathered not only to buy and sell, but also trade ideas and make connections. Names like Darbotz, The Slyndicates, Tuff Stuff Gang, Tembok Bomber, and WhatNot were involved in the past Swapmeets. With the same idea behind, for this year’s Swapmeet, they invited their good friends from sneaker enthusiasts and Indonesia’s local brand. It was a gread opportunity to meet some of the most passionate sneakerheads in town.

Swapmeets are always known for its excitement of finding something really good from brand new, dead stock, pre-owned to vintage goods. With around 20 stalls inside Whiteboard Journal’s W_SPACE, there are lots of kicks from Nike (including early releases of Nike SBs), New Balance, Adidas, Alife, Vans, Reebok, Generic Surplus, Gravis, and so much more, all in crazy prices. They saw some happy people went home with items like visvim Trouser ($60), Nike Blazer Supreme ($200), 2 pairs of Jordan V ($250), and New Balance kicks priced around $30 – $70. Other quality stuffs spotted are O.G. Huarache, SB Dunks from Tiffany, Supreme, Cali, Dunkle, and lots of Jordans.

Footurama Swapmeet : The Return were supported by Whiteboard Journal, Indonesia Sneaker Team, and Soleplay. The other participants are Tuff Stuff / MAD / Capital / Urbain / Pot Meets Pop Family / Bluesville / Maine St. Footwear / Lighthouse / Bootleg Rugged / Elhaus / Otoko. / Toidiholic. And also with Music provided by Isle of Seeds Radio and Asia Afrika Soundsytem (DJ Lion Rock & Ras Muhammad).

The event also marked the release of their new Footurama t-shirt in navy color (which was sold out at the event) and their very own camouflage two way tote bag from their collaboration with SOBER. For more information, head to Footurama.com.
