For the second week in the month of November 2014, local menswear brand WADEZIG! released the latest series of t-shirts called “Japanese Illustration Series”. This Japanese inspired collection is created due the passions and curiosity to play with graphic art, especially in the form of an illustration, painting, and artwork. Along with it, they also want to bring you something different to the costumers.

For this collection, they offer four different illustrations, each of which offer a mythology or classic fairy tale in Japan. The illustration is of course presented with WADEZIG! signature style. As you can find above, those illustrations are simply inspired by Fujin-Raijin which tells the story of the God of wind and lightning in Japan. Second is Ashura which is believed as God who had three heads, three faces, and six arms. While the third character is Bushido warrior which is a concept in Japanese society who choose the way of being a samurai warrior. Last but not least is the Tora or Komainu who often called as a guard with lion dogs figure. It also an antidote to evil spirits.

All of these illustration are printed in the form of t-shirt with 30s cotton combed material and raster screen printing techniques. The November and December 2014 special collection “Japanese Illustration Series” is dedicated to the costumers who love graphics arts or artwork, especially from the Japanese culture.
