During February 20th to 22nd 2015, one of favorite menswear label from Jakarta, Bluesville presented their very first trunk show at Common House, Panglima Polim Jakarta. The brand which is known for its differentiation in the fashion industry through techniques such as natural dye, handwritten batik, and hand-woven fabrics were showcased more than 50 new designs of Bluesville spring and summer 2015 collection, including exclusive collaboration with KANA, a potential game changer in womenswear that shared the same passion with the brand during the three days of trunk show. Attendees of this event had their chance to pre-order selected items from the upcoming spring and summer 2015 collection, while free refreshments will be provided.
The idea for their latest collection, the spring and summer 2015, is based on the Bluesville history, the color blue itself, especially shades of blue made from natural indigo, the brand main inspiration from the very start. The collection will consist of mainly shirts with different shades of blue applied in different styles and different patterns. The Jakarta based label tried to combine the use of different kind of method to achieve this various shades of blue, from hand dyeing the fabric in their own workshop to sourcing high quality fabrics from different credible sources.
Bluesville’s key item is back in this collection, such as the contrast panel shirt with varied fabrics use, as well as different application of signature Dyer’s Sleeve style, whether it is on the shirt or the popular outerwear named Sakaras. Some key item from the Bluesville Natural Dyed line push the brand to its limit with the use of paneling from different natural dyed batik fabrics nurtured in Bluesville’s workshop. The different shades of indigo blue now can be seen through the collection, from lighter blue to the darker blue color, adding a wide spectrum of blue color among the collection.
