One of the biggest electronics company from South Korea, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. recently announced that they have release its new animal edition battery packs featuring illustrations of four species of endangered animals, including Giant Panda. This is part of the “Charge the Life” campaign from the company which aims to raise awareness about endangered animals. According to Byeongju Kim, the Vice President and Applicative Product Biz Group Leader of Samsung, “As consumers spend more time on their devices, they are demanding batteries with more capacity. Our new battery packs will meet the needs of our customers and will simultaneously raise awareness about a critical issue.”
The Animal Edition Battery Packs by Samsung will be available in two sizes. The 8.400mAh battery pack is equivalent to more than three times the capacity of the new Samsung GALAXY S6 battery, while the 11.300mAh battery pack is equivalent to more than four times the capacity. It can also charge a flat GALAXY Note 4 battery more than twice, making it the perfect companion when you are on the go. As for the giant panda, it will be featured on the 11.300mAh battery pack. Furthermore, the special battery pack will have a clear power level display and will be able to charge two devices at the same time. Additionally, the interactive “Charge the Life” mobile application, which is available on Google Play and Samsung Galaxy Apps, will display the featured animal becoming more animated as charging levels increase.
