The German manufacturer of luggage made of aluminium as well as polycarbonate and famous for its rich characteristic design structure known as RIMOWA and its official partner in Indonesia recently announced that they will create an event called “Handmade Meets High-Tech” featuring nine RIMOWA Topas Luggage in collaboration with local designer and cultural enthusiast Iwet Ramadhan. Along with curator Kemal Ezedine and special appearance by Michael Wong, the suitcase manufacturing company will presents charity auction of nine RIMOWA Topas luggage created by Thomas Hendy, Andra Satar, Audrey Purwana, Marcello Decaran, Sandy Thema, Subhan Aksa, Alexandra Asmasoebrata, Maulana Indraguna Sutowo, and Dian Sastrowardoyo-Sutowo. All the items will be auctioned and donated to Museum Batik Yogyakarta. The special event “Handmade Meets High-Tech” will be held from June 29th to July 5th 2015 at Ground Floor Atrium Pacific Place Jakarta while the charity evening will be held on Wednesday, July 1st 2015 starts from 18.30 WIB at the same place. The ever widening ranges of techniques make the artist have the opportunity to explore the unique process in flexible and exiting way. This special topi will be brought by Iwet Ramadhan as a symbol of heaven, hope, and happiness.
