Most downloaded mobile app-based cab-hailing in Indonesia, Go-Jek once again have its position on the yellow area. Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation recently stated that the related company including GrabTaxi and Uber also has officially banned, Directorate General of Land Transportation Djoko Sasono stated “The requirements of a public transportation is that it has to be at least a three-wheeled vehicle, and the company needs to have the legality and permission to operate as public transportation service,” Well it’s quite surprising remembering our lovely President, Joko Widodo has once supported Go-Jek and proud of the innovation which made local transportation better.

The following waves of strong statement made by Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation was immediately countered by President Joko Widodo through his Twitter account, said “I will call Minister of Transportation immediately. The people need ojek. Don’t make rules that will burden them, should have been regulated instead” This counter has been discussed immediately and the ban has been lifted today. So it’s a bling once again for Go-Jek, a popular app among white-collar worker and youngster in Jakarta, eventhough they have to stay sharp for the next regulation that may apply ahead.
