Innovation and creativity are the must-components for those who want to hold out in their business. Sometimes a crazy and unique idea will make the product goes viral and that’s what the Bikini Snack are doing. Bikini comes from the words “Bihun Kekinian”, a thin rice noodle in a controversial packaging with a girl body wearing a bikini. Much Indonesian argue that Bikini Snack has a bad impact, especially on children. There is a quote “Remas Aku” (Squeeze Me) on the front side of the package that assures Indonesian about the food intention.
Pertiwi Darmawanti Oktavia, the founder of Bikini Snack, insisted that her snack was targeted for adult, yet BPOM still banned her Bikini’s because the product didn’t apply for any official institutional permits, the stamps from the Ministry of Food and Health or the Indonesian Islam Forum were also fake. Anyway, there’s a lot of people think that this is very vulgar to put a girl wearing a bikini on a snack’s packaging and they hope this product will no longer spread in Indonesia. But for us, we won’t stop squeezing! As long as BPOM let us of course. So, what do you think about Bikini Snack? Is it just an innovative product or a mental dilapidate product?
