In an interview with VICE Indonesia about his first art show, “Sathar Vol. 1: Past” he said that his main inspiration comes from his inner-self reflection.
Sathar is the character he created for his art trilogy. According to him, Sathar is his alter ego and it is a product of recollecting and recounting his past memories. Then, it is combined with subconscious imagery of primitive and futuristic motifs as he called it. Not only creating his own masterpieces, by adding his signature style, he had also created various projects like album covers, posters, and interestingly his own clothing line of Sathar Busana, which you can explore, through his Instagram account where his portfolios are.
