Released back on Wall of Fades 2017, Oldblue Co. decided to bring their Work Shirt collection back to life after the long production hiatus. The collection itself consists of two different types of shirts.
The first one is the Work Shirt Type II – Spectrum Neps Chambray. Essentially inspired by classic railroad workwears from the 40s, this particular shirt is made of an exceptional light indigo chambray weighted at 5.5 oz per square yard, weaved using multi-colored neps yarn. It features Troca shell buttons procured straightaway from Japan and a larger left chest pocket that was originally contrived for a pocket watch or pencils. There is also a single slanted buttonhole for a pocket watch chainlet.
Then the Work Shirt Type VI – Rainbow Neps Denim, shaped with 11 oz indigo denim twill also with colorful neps. The particular model was heavily inspired by various kind of patterns from the 20s t0 30s fused by the brand’s original detail, yielding incomparable designs such as reinforced shoulders, sweat-proof left chest pocket, curved back yoke, round pointed hem, Corozo nut button and the shawl collar.
Both shirts are produced using shuttle-loomed fabrics and utilize vintage machinery to further fabricate the authenticity. Moreover, every piece comes in regular fit and built up using triple-chainstitch on every main seam. Aside from being widely used in the traditional workwear, it also assures a sturdy and long-lasting quality. Contact them directly as their website is currently inaccessible at the moment.
