If you have a thing for horror movies, you should definitely check Veronica. The Spanish film was first screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at 2017 Toronto International Film Festival before recently available to stream on Netflix. Directed by Paco Plaza, it takes place in Madrid in 1991, where a teen girl became a victim of paranormal disturbances after holding a séance at school. To make things more horrific, this motion picture is loosely based on a true story of Estefanía Gutiérrez Lázaro who died mysteriously after she used an Ouija board.
