Stronger than Ever, UNTOLD steps into their second year in the business and in order to celebrate, they threw an anniversary party, ‘2 Years Strong’. Renting out Tribeca Park, Central Park, they aimed to contribute for a good cause by wielding the event to be a charitable fundraising party.
Raising funds to be donated to the victims of Lombok’s devastating earthquake, UNTOLD’s founder and CEO Yungz worked hand in hand with Sidney Mohede of Wahana Visi Indonesia and Joshua Supit of Forward Living Community to help him distribute the aids. They prepared various activities to generate the funds.
There were multiple carnival games such as Cactus Ringer, Duo Basketball, Dunk Tank, and the Giant Wall Climb and Slide. There was also live parent-child cooking competition with celebrity chef Vincent Lim, and arguably the crème de la crème of the night, sneaker auction supported by Original Form.
The auctioned sneakers were premium and quite hard to get especially in Indonesian retails and resellers. There were Air Jordans, Ultra Boosts, Nike Air Max X Supreme, Air Max 90 Woven, and Adidas Y-3, to name a few. Some resulted in good steals, while others were just due to the hype.
The proceeds from these activities were fully donated to the earthquake victims, along with food and beverages sales from four participating tenants; Bakmi Go, Padang Merdeka, Mama’s Meat Delicatessen, and UNTOLD’s very own booth, UNTOLD Cafe.
Our respect for UNTOLD for being grounded and sharing their achievements to the unfortunates. This should set an great example for fellow Indonesian brands and encourage them to do charitable initiatives, giving back to the people and community. Through this event, it is proven that fashion is not just about style and materialistic aspects, but it is a platform that can be transformed to help those in need.
