After previously announced his first solo album known as “Saturday Light”, former indie band member of SORE who has now decided to pursue a solo career and a music producer for local movies, Mondo Gascaro just days ago uploaded a new music video for his latest single called “Komorebi”. This official music video is directed by the talented Anggun Priambodo, who previously known for his artworks and partnership with several independent bands such as Jirapah, Sir Dandy, Efek Rumah Kaca, Bangkutaman, and many more. The video itself shows both Mr. Gascaro and his baby son Joan having a good time on the weekend, strolling around the city park, fish market, and also around Jalan Surabaya. For those who do not know about his career path, Mr. Gascaro recently marked his return to the music world through a single entitled “Saturday Light” via an independent label based in Jakarta, Indonesia known as Ivy League Music Records. His album is available now online via iTunes .
Ivy League Music was established by persons with passions for music and everything else that goes with and around it, namely Sarah Glandosch (formerly of Aksara Records’ Marketing and Promo Division) and Mondo Gascaro (of SORE and music director of a number of notable Indonesian films). Their frequent engagements in local music scenes and industry, and the recent and on-going changes in the industry propeled them to create Ivy League Music, to work and collaborate with musicians, bands, music industry people, and culture enthusiasts everywhere. They believe that the conventional label’s ways of promotion, production and distribution are becoming out of date, and that different and more adaptable ways are timely needed. Weather doing promotions, productions or merchandising Ivy League Music holds true to their original passion for a good quality and honest music.
