Following the start of this year’s global Women’s March movement, Women’s March Jakarta will be conducted for the second time on March 3rd 2018. Solely aiming to empower Indonesian women and raise awareness of gender-based violence and discrimination towards women in Indonesia, the participants will march from a designated meeting point to express their feminist voices.
The designated meeting point hasn’t been announced yet, but looking back to Women’s March 2017, the meeting point and the terminus will probably be around Bundaran HI, Sarinah, or Monumen Nasional. Everybody is welcome to march regardless of gender, physical condition, and age, so prepare your best posters. Make sure to regularly check their Instagram to get updates until the event.
