The Menjangan is a peaceful retreat located in the heart of an unspoiled national park on the stunning north west coast of Singaraja, Bali. You can rest assured that this place is the perfect resort for a getaway, an idyl where you will not be bothered by other pesky tourists or the hustle and bustle of big city. It is perfect because it is built upon 382 hectares of land within the boundaries of the Bali Barat National Park and offers guests the chance to get relax in exquisite surroundings and close to nature, especially the herd of menjangan or deer that can be found relaxing by Sentigi Beach. The idea behind The Menjangan was, like all good ideas, as simple as to create the perfect nature retreat located in one of the least-visited but most beautiful parts of the wonderful island of Bali. The concept was to work in harmony with nature to establish the ultimate hideaway, an intimate boutique resort where guests can escape the outside world and share the natural beauties of Bali with their partners, families, and friends. The resort is relaxed, casual and quiet, with the emphasis very much on restoring calm and simplicity to stressed minds and bodies. Time to reflect, appreciate the true values in life and get back to basics, taking time to appreciate the sound of birdsong, the whisper of trees in the ocean breeze and the always surprising delights of marine life which can be witnessed while snorkeling or diving.

The resort is divided into the Monsoon Lodge with 14 deluxe rooms and two suites, such as seven beachfront villas on Sentigi Beach and a three-bedroom private accommodation called The Menjangan Residence. With the Monsoon Lodge being a haven of tranquility surrounded by the wonders of nature. The rooms are set around a idyllic swimming and hot pool. With the lodge has been built in harmony with the environment so you may find you share the beautiful grounds with birds, deer, and other wildlife. Each of lodge has fully air-conditioned and has an en-suite bathroom. All the rooms and suites were beautifully designed with Bengkirai wood floors, traditional alang-alang grass roofing and bathrooms crafted in cool smooth stone combined with minimalist furniture designed in light colours to make the room warm and refreshing. Furthermore, the lodge has a 24-hour concierge service for your round-the-clock convenience and security, and the reception area has sofas, a small library and a computer with internet and printer or scanner for those desperate to work or send an email from paradise.

While the Deluxe Room is a wonderful space in which to relax. It has a pool lagoon on your doorstep, and it is perfect for a morning swim or a cooling afternoon splash. All the rooms are fully air conditioned and have en suite bathrooms with Lifestyle Retreats signature bathroom amenities produced from wild herbs with blends as spiced citrus, ginger green tea or cinnamon passion fruit. As for the Suite, you enjoys all the luxuries of a Deluxe Room but with a much larger space and features antique Indonesian furniture combined with the most modern appliances. Suites boast an exclusive selection of unique soaps for guests to choose from on arrival. A private wooden deck area overlooking the main swimming pool and featuring sundecks is exclusive to the suites. It is great if you have a time to stay at this room. Although it is secluded, do not be afraid of running out of things to do at The Menjangan resort. There are endless land and water activities to try. My favourites are the horseback riding and snorkelling – other activities include trekking, biking trips, diving, night fauna walks, kayaking, cooking class, endemic tree planting, and bird watching. The resort is also popular among scientists wishing to study the national park’s wildlife. among the facilities are a swimming pool and hot tub at Monsoon Lodge, Mangrove Spa, Bali Tower Restaurant, which has an incredible 360-degree view of the surrounding nature, Pantai Restaurant, and Azur Lounge.
