The tiger now has shown its fang. Inspired by Bosozoku spirit, the Jakarta based label created by Jordi Farhansyah and Hilman Desfakhrian known as Kyotosix has just released their newest product for the month of July 2015 and also part of their Tora series called “Black-Marked Tiger”. As usual the brand creates carefully crafted products based on Japanese culture. They are aware that many things that come from Japan become a hype all over the world. They want everyone to taste the Japanese vibe in everything that they make. Every product has a story behind it based on Japanese daily life and culture. With this new line, Kyotosix brings the dark side of the tiger and the rebellion from a youth subculture symbolized by Bosozoku. As one of the most feared biker tribe, Black-Marked Tiger is represented as the spirit of a rebellion and a name of Bosozoku or Japanese biker gang where the members were being anti-social, tend to fight, and an anarchist. While the word “Tora” (虎) itself means tiger in Japan. This series of products are inspired by how the Japanese view the tiger as divine beast because ever since long time ago, tiger is considered to be the supreme of all land animals. In Japan, tiger represents strength, courage and long life. So they believe that every design, every concept of the product, and every theme has to representing something.
