Did you happen to miss this year’s Pop Up Market? Did not get the chance to take a look at their tenants – those emerging local brands? After strolling through the event, accompanied with a vivid ambiance of Negen Straatjes, Amsterdam, our team has picked some brands from Pop Up Market 2017 that deserve the spotlight. Here’s what we came up with:

7POPUP KITC
1. Kitc
All the way they came from Bandung. This brand focuses on creating products that convey art. They strive to become the “melting of taste, cultural icon, and behavior” and it is very well-portrayed by the set of their T-shirt and totebag collection armed with imprinted work of art.

7POPUP THETHEME
2. The Theme
This emerging women’s accessories local brand provides lines of products created based on the theme chosen during the period of time. Recently, the launched a flower-themed collection where their necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other lines of jewelries are shaped and designed like flowers. Utterly beautiful to fulfill every woman’s satisfaction.

7POPUP CHEVEUX
3. Cheveux
Here’s to you, girls, who favor your own hair and are willing to give a constant, high quality treatment for each strand. Cheveux provides a variety of hair treatment starting from shampoo, hair mask, up to functional hair-dryer that you can use day to day. Suitable for any kind of hair, perfect for your treatment needs.

7POPUP CHERISH
4. Cherish & Joy
Being completely a newcomer in the industry, Cherish and Joy is ran by a group of students from Prasetiya Mulya University as a requirement for their business project. Putting that aside, however, this brand is doing very well with their remarkable peel-off mask that managed to pull the interest of a lot of women during the event. Promosing start-up indeed.

7POPUP RACECAR
5. Racecar
Moving on to the men’s section, we found Racecar in the middle of the crowded place. They appeared outstanding with a set of T-shirt collection armed with comfortable material and well-imprinted designs.

7POPUP KAIGA
6. Kaiga
Inspired by Japanese pieces of art, this emerging local brand stood out during the event with their peculiar selection of jeans, which drawn us into them. Kaiga, whose name might be familiar to each one of you, strives to show that their products – jeans, mostly – are true pieces of art, and they’re doing it very well.

7. Anka
We saw this start-up local brand offering clothes that are simple, minimalist, yet sophisticated. They have a round of collections that portrays elegance and simplicity both at once. Suitable to be used on any occasion, you girls might want to take a look at this brand.

Striving to be an annual event that provides platform for local brands to grow, Pop Up Market has spent months of preparation including curating both well-established and developing tenants. These brands above are only several from more than 100 tenants you can anticipate on next year’s Pop Up Market.
